After 1 year in Vietnam, my thoughts.
So one year down and many to go. My overall impression of this place is fantastic. I'm comfortable, the vibe here is so relaxed in the way the rhythm of the day plays out.
The day for most starts at 5 am and by 9 or 10 pm things are quiet again. Obviously as a foreigner things are easier for me. I tell people all the time. VN is a fantastic place if you have money, but, you don't need much compared to western standards.
As for Vung Tau. It a great city with many festivals and tourist coming on weekends. Many modern apartments and fantastic restaurants and street markets.
